Orlando BLIA YAD (young adult division) visited the Ronald McDonald House to cook and serve dinner to families.
“Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida (RMHCCF) finds, creates and supports programs that directly improve the health and well being of children and families. Our cornerstone program, the Ronald McDonald House (RMH), provides a “home-away-from-home” that offers comfort and care to families of children being treated at local hospitals and medical facilities. There are two Ronald McDonald Houses in Orlando; one is located on the campus of Florida Children’s Hospital and the other is on the campus of Arnold Palmer Medical Center.” website: rmhorlando. 2007
BLIA (Buddha’s Light Internation Association) members prepared the food at the temple. We decided to cook an asian-inspired theme with foods such as: Dumplings, Egg Rolls, Lo Mein, Stir-Fry, and more.
Preparations at the Ronald Mcdonald House kitchen.
We served food to ten families on this evening, and had the opportunity to speak with most of the them.
